Craig Marshall
Technician (Photography)
As the technician for the Photography department within the College of Arts, my main responsibilities are to support BA(Hons) Photography students with their practice based learning by maintaining the equipment and facilities used on the course. These facilities include the photography studio and darkrooms. In addition to this, I also support academics in the delivery of practical workshops, and remain on hand to provide students any support they may need when using these facilities independently.
I joined the University in 2020, after serving for twelve years in the Royal Air Force as a photographer. During my career I was involved in processing film from aerial reconnaissance imagery in Northern Ireland, as well spending three years capturing public relations imagery for the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team The Red Arrows. In addition to this I also completed tours of duty at RAF Waddington and RAF Brize Norton.
Whilst based at RAF Waddington I graduated from the University of Lincoln with an MA in Media, Film and Television Production after studying part time.
