Kenneth Cromar
I am an experienced College of Arts Workshop Technician, who works as part of a team of four. I provide advice to both staff and students at all levels, which includes different manufacturing techniques, encompassing the areas of marking, cutting, forming, joining and finishing in a wide range of materials including metals, woods, plastics and composites.
I take a light hearted approach when taking a day-to-day wish list of concepts and ideas, and turn them into high end products for model making, installation and furniture construction.
In 2003 I set up the Lincoln School of Architecture Workshops, which transformed into the AAD Workshops as seen today.
I studied Product Design, here in Lincoln and also at Glasgow School of Art.
I worked as a CNC Machinist at the Lincoln firm Micrometric, which is an European leader in fine laser machining of precision components for the electronics and aerospace industries.
When outside of work, I love riding motorcycles and exploring our wonderful county’s rich landscapes and history. I am a poet who writes a variety of poetry and have performed locally in Lincoln as well as York, Hull and Southwell. I also have interests in photography and enjoy playing tennis and cycling.
